Participatory Appraisal (PA) Training

☻The PA training programme is delivered over five days.

☻There are a range of options as to the delivery of the programme.

☻The training can be adapted to meet your needs.

☻Three and a half days are classroom based.

☻There is one an a half days field work.

☻The field works gives trainees the opportunity to put into practice the PA approach.

☻The first two days looks at what is participation?; what questions to ask; PA roles; community settings; saboteurs, facilitating and employing and identifying the "PA tools".

☻The third day (am) is planning the fieldwork, supported by the trainers.

☻The third day (pm) and all the fourth day is for fieldwork.

☻The fifth day is classroom based looking and feeding back the fieldwork experience.

☻The PA training programme delivery is relaxed and informal.
