Participatory Appraisal  (PA) Training

The PA training programme is delivered over five days.

There are a range of options as to the delivery of the programme.

The training can be adapted to meet your needs.

Three and a half days are classroom based.

There is one an a half days field work.

The field works gives trainees the opportunity to put into practice the PA approach.

The first two days looks at what is participation?; what questions to ask; PA roles; community settings; saboteurs, facilitating and employing and identifying the "PA tools".

The third day (am) is planning the fieldwork, supported by the trainers.

The third day (pm) and all the fourth day is for fieldwork.

The fifth day is classroom based looking and feeding back the fieldwork experience.

The PA training programme delivery is relaxed and informal.
